Competition

As an NPC Bikini competitor, I know how stressful and confusing the competition prep process can be. Training for a show is like entering a whole new world! There are so many things that must be done in order to be successful. I want to make the prep process easier for you so you can enjoy it as much as possible.
So here are a few must know things to better help you start your journey.

Bikini Class

This class is strictly posing in heels. The judges look for Balance, Shape and Overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation. So when you check-in for the show they will measure your height. Most shows have Class A-F in each category; A being the shortest and F being the tallest. What class you are in doesn’t affect your chances of doing well. This is simply for the judges to make better body comparisons when judging each competitor.

COMPETITOR RULES

1. Competitors will compete in a two-piece suit. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. No thongs are permitted. Competitors can compete in an off the rack suit. All swimsuits must be in good taste. Athletes will be warned about improper suits and are advised to bring two (2) suits to check in. The fronts of the suits are too low and must be constructed higher. Athletes will be scored down if the suit is not up to standard
2. Competitors must wear high heels.
3. Competitors may wear jewelry.
4. National level contests do not permit competitors to crossover into Bodybuilding, Fitness or Figure at the same event. All other competitions are permitted to have crossovers at the discretion of the promoter with appropriate approval.

PICKING A SHOW

NPC shows (www.npcnewsonline.com) are for beginners/novices. The perfect show for first-timers. Only if you qualify for NPC Nationals can you compete to win your “Pro card”. Once you are a Pro, then you can compete in IFBB shows which are for Pro’s only. You can find more information on the NPC and show dates at www.npconline.com. When deciding on which show to take on, consider the date, city, requirements, costs, and location. It is much more convenient to compete in a show in your hometown so you can get ready from home plus have friends/family go watch you. Otherwise you have to get a hotel and pack everything up. That includes packing all your pre-prepared food. Most hotels don’t have a stove/refrigerator etc. therefore bringing your costs up.

There are many other details that goes on behind the scenes and that’s why we are here!!!

Biani will assist you all the way from the beginning to the very last end. So stop wishing for your time to shine and make this wish a reality!!
